Beirut-Madinati has indeed lost but the big surprise is that the difference in votes was around 15,000 only! It is also worth noting that the difference was 7,156 votes between Elie Yahchouchi who got the least votes on the Beirutis List and Ibrahim Mneimneh the head of the Beirut Madinati list.
