Lebanon's German Embassy shared a post on its Facebook page highlight an excerpt of the 2020 budget law where 16 billion Lebanese Pounds are allocated to railways. As it appears, the ambassador is a huge fan of trains and this part caught his attention, especially that Lebanon has NONE. Let's see if they get any answer, because we all deserve one.

A couple of months ago, Lebanon's central bank had around 800 million dollars in reserves remaining for basic subsidies, but this changed a week ago when BDL governor announced they now have 2 billion dollars left. Where did these 2 billion dollars come from? Obviously not from expats or foreign investments.
