Pope Francis told reporters after completing his historic trip to Iraq that his next destination will be Lebanon, but he did not specify the date. The 83-year old head of the Catholic Church plans to visit Lebanon & South Sudan next, and had received an invitation from Patriarch Rai to stop by Lebanon on his return from Iraq.
The last pope to visit Lebanon was Pope Benedict XVI in 2012.
