I would hardly call French weapons shitty. The FAMAS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FAMAS) and their helicopters are among the top wepaons worldwide.

Buying weapons from France for 3bn deal is what Saudi Arabia wants as a thank you for its support in Syria unlike US which chickened out and Russia which is supporting the regime .Its all about politics. Stop nagging what ever helps our army is good
That’s great let’s hope they don’t pocket 2.9 billion like what usually happens. They should release public reports on every penny they spend so we know it’s going to the army and not the politicians pockets behind the army.

They’re going to use the money instead for خدمة الدين العام as they did before with the (I think) Qatari donation for Electricity.
We should get us several hundreds of leclerc tanks, some crotale missiles,eurocopter tiger, some uavs, antitank missiles, sniper rifles..
Instead of spending this money on useless weapons they could have used it for something that would help this country get out of the shit hole.
