The Nassar family have been preparing a special Lebanese-Australian Anzac Day dessert for years now, consisting of a tiramisu topped with Anzac biscuits mixed with a milk-based sauce including five different types of liquors and a special butterscotch schnapps sauce.

The dessert is called “The Drunken Soldier” and is meant to celebrate the little-known role of Anzacs in liberating Lebanon during WWII. The Nassar family originated from Hasroun where Australians passed by during the war and trained in the snowy mountains.
