I spotted a new traffic counter installed on an industrial road in Zouk Mosbeh that links it to Antoura. Few people know of this road and it’s almost always empty so it’s pretty weird to find the counter set up there.
I first found out about these wires almost two years back on the Antelias-Jal el Dib maritime road but I can assure you traffic hasn’t improved one single bit. On the contrary, it’s getting worse year after year.
The road in question
this is not a “weird” spot. any road/building should have a traffic impact study.
and those traffic counters are spread everywhere now in this region, from Yasouh el Malak road (both sides) to Jeita. obviously there’s a company doing its research for future development. so i wouldn’t really call this specific spot “weird”
Just like the studies on the maritime road that helped improve traffic right?
traffic studies there were never intended to improve traffic. an alternative road could never improve a highway’s job. the specific study in Dbayeh is for the development of the waterfront city. it is a private project, not a public one. once the project is finished, all roads should be paved, not asphalted, with speed bumps and slow down signs. you get the idea, this specific road would not improve traffic, but only serve the newly built complex. so the 2 studies are different. cheers.
“Few people know of this road…” loool :p
If somebody knows from where we can buy this trafic counter in Lebanon, Thanks
