I’ve been following up on Baby Ali all day yesterday with Leb4refugees and I got a confirmation yesterday night that he finally moved to the new apartment with his family. The new apartment is decent but needs few things which will be shared tomorrow for all those who wish to help. As far as the online campaign is concerned, the amount collected until now is around $5000 which is awesome news!
For those who are in Lebanon and can directly donate (cash, food, supplies etc ..), contact Leb4refugees offices at +961 4 546 077 (or +961 3 315500) or email them info@lebanese4refugees.com.
For those who are in Lebanon abroad and wish to help online, you can donate [Here].

What you guys are doing is admirable. I don’t mean to be an ass and this is a legitimate question, but how do you guarantee that the crowdfunded money goes to the people who actually need it (Ali in this case)? Is there a transparent way we could see where the donations are going?
GR,
The reason why I chose LiveLoveBeirut and Leb4refugees to crowdfund is that I trust both and I’ve seen their works throughout the years. I will ask the NGO to submit a report on how the money was spent once they collect it.
Please do. I am usually wary about donating like that because, well let’s face it, this is Lebanon although it is not unusual to see this elsewhere. I would like to make a decent donation if/when I am guaranteed the money is going to be spent where it needs to be.
