Haifa Wehbe’s sister has tinted car glasses
Interior Minister Marwan Charbel announced few days ago that tints on car windows will be banned at the beginning of July and only allowed for security reasons defined by the Ministry. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the upcoming elections (if there are any) but it’s one of those bans that no one takes seriously.
You see if you happen not to have relatives in high positions capable of getting you a tint permit for “security” reasons, you can get a medical permit for the windows tint. Also it costs barely 50$ to put back the tints in case they are removed at an army or ISF checkpoint.
The solution is simple though and I hope Minister Charbel considers it. If a car is stopped with illegal tint glasses on, break one or two windows after removing the tints. This will make those breaking the law think twice before putting the windows tint back on.
Partial theft is covered by most insurance companies in Lebanon! A broken window can always be considered as partial theft so by breaking windows u’d be doing nothing since people can always charge that on their insurance policies!
What should be done is very simple a500$ fine/ hajiz
it can be recorded as a criminal act committed by the driver, which i would hope would disqualify the owner of the car from fixing it via insurance.
also, if you have medical reasons for needing a car with tinted windows, you shouldn’t be driving.
Jim, people needing tinted windows can be people with very fair skin, very sensitive and prone to skin cancer. As it shows you are no doctor, you should know that skin diseases and sun sensitivity do not take away your ability to drive. Furthermore, all cars should be allowed a specific shade of tint like in the rest of the world. Completely banning window tint is immoral, a breach of in-vehicle comfort and a violation of a certain (even lightly) breach of privacy.
