The ISF started implementing the new traffic law today and were distributing as well a small booklet that sums up the major violations and their corresponding fines. It’s a small 6-pages guide that I uploaded here for those who are interested. I also shared few tweets from the ISF account regarding the main violations such as speeding, or not wearing a seat belt or texting and driving. You can also check the summary I did few weeks back [here].
I know that we aren’t satisfied with the way this law is being implemented, specially when police officers are still breaking the law and roads are in bad shape, but let’s try make the best out of it and become better drivers for our own sake. If you have any complaints, you can submit them to the ISF [here].
this is a total failure, they should start the campaign BEFORE implementing the law not AFTER
they put a single speed limit sign at the beginning of the road then for 3 kilometers u never see another one again, how should we know if its 50KM {in case there is no sign) or 80KM ?
this law is useless
R, they have been F*** our head with the campaign for a minimum of one year back! when you don’t want to see it you will not know it exists.
although i believe that breaking a red light or going wrong way the fine should be much bigger than this, or having a car with no tail lights. this might be fatal
“dont drink and drive” <<< do u call that a campaign ? they havent informed people the details about the law like this
Kindly stop using the word “specially” in all of your posts. “Specially” does not exist in the English Language, it is “Especially”.
YES!!
THANK YOU!!!! Or at least use spell check
Najib,
Can the small booklet be downloaded from somewhere in better resolution for printing? or can you post the pictures in higher resolution?
Thanks.
What about the most annoying fact about traffic in Lebanon??!! continuous honking where drivers blow the horn every 2 seconds. I think if they enforce the law against that, they will collect a fortune.
instead of back firing at the law, just follow it! It is common sense. Be the right example instead of complaining! We nag and nag…..
Small steps make the difference!
There is nothing wrong about the law for God sake! We have been so much used to chaos that big fines are needed to make the difference
So let us stop blaming others and just blame ourselves
