Thousands of people who disappeared during the war in Lebanon and its aftermath are still missing today. Since the war ended, the government made a few, limited attempts to clarify the fate of the missing persons, but these did not succeed. [Petition]
It’s been more than 20 years that the Lebanese Civil war is over and we still have over 17,000 disappeared. This is quite a shocking number and an embarrassing one for all of us Lebanese. We will never be able to completely put the war behind and open a new page without resolving the issue of the disappeared, among other things.

40 years since it’s been over?
I meant almost 40 years. Fixed it to 30 🙂
Thanks
The war was still going on when I was born. I’m only 25. Do the math 😛
Well fix it again! It has been over for 20 years only!!While some might say it has been simmering on low in the background…

All I was thinking about was when it started. Had 1975 stuck in my head 🙂
