Here are few pictures and a video taken at the landfill right on the Beirut River. Needless to say, the smell is horrible, garbage is everywhere and I even spotted someone living there. The authorities are supposed to remove all this garbage soon but what I don’t understand is why garbage is thrown so randomly and all over the place? Even if we’re having a garbage crisis, that’s not an excuse to throw garbage everywhere.
ntreated garbage on the lebanese street effects today’s and tomorrow health. researchers have found that garbage effect nature and human directly and indirectly. Today lebanon is facing a problem with wast management leaving tons of garbage on the lebanese street. Leaving which hurt soil by reproducing hazord chemicals that gets into the plantsby thier roots. Then directly to your body effecting your health. Another side effect of garbage is the open burning garbage fire that contains nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide which leads to many medical problems shuch as cancer and respiratory system problems. Meanwhile as the government is failing to achieve a solution, its time to start working to protect our nature.
Simply the lets change ourselves before anything lets “reduce reuse recycle ” the golden 3R . Reducing means knowing what is wanted not what they want you to want. 40% according to new York times of brought items is thrown after 1 month!
Reuse is simple and enhance creativity by recreating and reproducing new items with trash. Will recycling is about taking hard material that cannot be reproduce so it is transferred into raw materials that can be selled or used in different industries
Finally, we must work together to reduce and solve the trash problem so that thr future generations live in a healthy world.
