Picture via NPR Mikhail Kalashnikov, the inventor of the famous Ak-47 assault rifle died yesterday according to Russian officials at the age of 94. However, it seems LBCI reported him dead back in July for some reason. The AK-47 — "Avtomat Kalashnikov" is the world's most popular firearm, with over 100 million guns spread worldwide. I was looking yesterday for better pictures of the Dekwaneh-Achrafieh bridge dismantled iron joints and I found these. Honestly speaking, what's even worse than the bridge condition are the safety measures taken there. Two tiny cones and some baskets from a local grocery store are not enough to alert incoming cars.
