TechCrunch has announced some really excited news for thriving startups in Lebanon, as they're planning to bring Startup Battlefield, which tries to bring the world's top early stage startups together on one stage to compete for the coveted Disrupt Cup, as well as the attention of media and investors. In terms of numbers, more than 750 Startup Battlefield alums have raised over $8 billion and produced 100+ exits to date. TechCrunch will choose 15 companies…

This is such a f*cked up story! A Sudanese toddler was rejected from a Zouk Mikhael nursery after parents threatened to take out their children if a black kid was enrolled. The nursery ended up rejecting the kid but the Health Ministry intervened and condemned the nursery's actions stating it violated “the most basic rights of humans and children". The Syndicate of Nursery Owners in Lebanon also met and asked the authorities to press charges…

Yesterday when I first read the "exciting" news, as described by MTV, about Broumana deploying female police officers in shorts, I didn't pay attention to the fact that most of these girls are minors or at least they look under age.
