I came across Handiss the other day, and I must say I loved what this Lebanese startup is doing. Basically, Handiss is a web platform that connects engineers and architects to companies or individuals that need their services. Handiss was founded by two Lebanese engineers that lived and worked in the GCC, but decided to come back to Lebanon and give fellow engineers and architects an easy solution to find work that fits their schedule…

It was great seeing a decent Christmas tree in Martyrs Square in Beirut last year after years of ugly ones but it appears that we're back to square one. In fact, I thought I spotted last year's tree being installed this year but then they removed it for some reason only to replace it with a dull one. We're all outraged by Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the Lebanese government has fiercely condemned it, and we're all in favor of protesting peacefully near the U.S. Embassy but what's the point of turning the demonstration into a violent one and attacking the Lebanese Security Forces?
