I was parked under the “Marche du Pont” bridge in Adonis waiting to pick up a friend when i spotted this man trying to pass the deadliest and the busiest of highways in Lebanon. I am talking here about the one that gets you from Beirut to Tripoli.
This highway causes God knows how many casualities every year in the area between Kaslik and Adonis yet there are people still willing to die trying to cross it, and unsurprisingly the government and municipality and concerned ministry still have no plans of building a bridge allowing all those coming down from Adonis to cross safely.
What is funnier is that elections every year in Jounieh are very close and witness very high participation rates. Maybe Nathaly’s agency and Mr.Zalzali should apply for a fashion show there, maybe then they’ll build her a bridge.
even if there was a bridge, people would never use it. I’ve seen this happen countless of times, people crossing dangerous highways, while the walking bridge is over them. Its silly.
Najib, is it safe to park on the side of a Highway? isn’t it illegal anyways? (it is here in sydney)
It doesn’t look like there’s designated parking spots there, but i don’t know the road anyways.
Stay safe mate 😉
He could have crossed from under the highway (the tunnel that gets to Rimal) if he wanted to be safe.
Simon,
I am not parked on the side of a highway. Am parked under a building that is on the highway. It is a legal stop.
haha i saw this in maya zankoul’s amalgam… the kamikaze phenomenon 🙂
