It would have been better for LBCI never to have released the video of the 113 points, because we are getting laughed at all over the world now. The YouTube video has around half a million views now but has more dislikes than likes and the comments are mostly negative but also funny.
Here are few of them:
“is defense illegal in Lebanon?”
and the reply: they’re shot if they play any” am from lithuania, here basketball is nr1 of sports… this video is not about basketball… it makes my eays hurt:(”
“anyone who dislike this.. knows how to play basketball..”
“The player had terrorist connections. You try to guard him, you get your house bombed.”
“Mohammed passes to Mohammed who passes the ball to the post player, Mohammed. Mohammed misses but his teammate, Mohammed, gets the putback!”
“Lebanese Defense apparently involves giving stern looks”
“Feels like a scene from a Sasha Boren Cohen film. R.I.P Defense”
“I thought this was a Globetrotters game.”
At this rate, Mohammad el Akkari will soon become Lebanon’s Rebecca Black. (This is me commenting)
Despite all that, it’s not too late for the FIBA to discard this game and restore some dignity into our Lebanese Basketball League.
The game should definitely be discarded, this is not a way to make great records.
But for the ppl that are saying that this is a great player, i think the best way to judge is to watch his next games, which i believe it will uncover that his just another player.
Youtube comments should never be taken seriously.
Patrick,
YouTube or not this has become the butt of jokes for people who understand a ‘leeetle bit about sports”! I guess another addition to Lebanese folklore!
Why is not the Federation not acting? Is this the way the games played in Lebanese league? What a bunch of morons!
Well who really keeps track of these things? These jokes come and go like trends, I think what was more embarrassing was those two politicians fighting on TV. In a week or so everyone (on the Internet) will barely remember this.
I think one of the reason is getting even more extreme feedbacks was that this year they celebrated the 50th anniversary of Wilt’s 100pts game.
And when you think this guy technically outdid Wilt it’s kinda insulting lol
Outdid meen? Only an idiot would compare this guy to Wilt or even better Kobe Bryant!
Peaple are jelous that ther country didn’t score that much
I think its a just like Jeita debate:
The question was: should we vote for Jeita?
If your answer was: no
Conclusion: you are not Lebanese, and you don’t deserve this nationality
Now back to this debate:
the question is: should this record be discarded?
if your answer is: yes
Conclusion: you are not Lebanese, and you don’t deserve this nationality
come on everyone, no one is jealous from Lebanon, and if being smart deny me from being a Lebanese, then who the hell wanna be a Lebanese??
“if being smart deny me from being a Lebanese, then who the hell wanna be a Lebanese??”
loool…Is that a rhetorical question?
