A truck that probably can hold 5 cows carries 10 or more in Lebanon. Not only the way people treat animals is brutal in Lebanon, but the smell that comes out of leaving the cows for days in the same tiny spot does not seem to bother anyone.
Imagine that sometimes the smell spreads to all over Beirut when boats filled with cows and sheep are left for days at the sea port.
A restaurant article disappeared, no?
Here in Achrafieh if its not cows or sheep boats from the sea port, it is the maslakh odor that stays for days or the karantina scent when there are some movements in the mountain…
its really disgusting
Not a restaurant article disappeared, but a restaurant ad did!
i sometimes, let’s just say most of the times, i pity animals more than the lebanese people … no offence, but lebanese people are becoming the worst species on the planet (including me)
Every person I talk to that has been to Liban, says the people are the nicest and they are so friendly. So I’m wondering, am I the only person that has gone to Lebanon and thought the people are assholes? They yell in the street, the women think they are God’s gift to the world and everyone only cares about themselves. Pet shops keep puppies in very tiny cages. No one is polite and they have no manners. When you go to Starbucks or something, they don’t stand in line and take turns, they all just go to the counter at the same time like animals. People ask to borrow money or to use your cellphone minutes. No wonder they treat animals like shit, they don’t even treat each other like humans. The best part of Lebanon was leaving. I used to tell my Father we should have stayed instead of come to America but now I think he knew something that Lebanese people could not see.
