The second phase of the new Jal el Dib bridge has begun and as a result, a considerable chunk of the highway towards Beirut was closed. A couple of a months ago, some were saying works have halted but they did resume and it appears they settled on the 2L model. People have been sharing pictures of a red Berdawni river since yesterday. It appears that color originated from a chemical or a dye from a nearby factory in Hzerta. This is not the first time such a thing happens after Beirut's river turned red few years back and the Litani River turned white.
