We had more warplanes and helicopters back in 1971 than we currently have now. Unfortunately, the 12 Mirages that we got from France were never really used due to lack of funds and later sold to Pakistan. Here's another video showing Prince Fayssal's visit to Lebanon in 1971 where his plane was escorted by the Lebanese Air Force's Mirages.
