This is a cool piece by Dima Karam on the Grand Aley Hotel that was built in 1926 by three brothers from a Beiruti trading family. The British Army set up their command center in WWII and then the Australian Imperial Force general who led the offensive against Syria and Lebanon used the hotel as his HQ. via Bike Tripoli Tripoli has inaugurated today a bike lane, the first of its kind in a Lebanese city. The bike lane is 3 km long and was launched prior to the third Bike Tripoli event that is taking place on June 5th. This is great news! I hope that other cities like Amchit or Jbeil will follow because they are ideal for bike rides.

I was just watching the ad when I saw Ralph's comment about the ad having a sexual connotation. I don't think they did it on purpose but it still cracked me up. The husband and wife ad was also funny.
