Four years ago, it was hard to imagine that Sayfco, a company that had projects worth 2 billion dollars and was running its business solely on Facebook with almost 4 million likes and spending millions on Facebook advertising might get bankrupt this quickly. I was reading yesterday on how the anti-smoking measures introduced in France have caused a sharp fall in the number of people smoking daily, with ONE MILLION fewer lighting up from 2016-2017! The measures taken included "reimbursements for people using tobacco substitutes, higher cigarette pricing and campaigns like the national tobacco-free month". PM Hariri and the Municipality of Beirut announced back in April a recycling project entitled "Warak Beirut" or "Paper Beirut" that will supposedly promote source sorting of paper and cardboard at public institutions and the government as as start. The project is implemented by the Municipality of Beirut in cooperation with UNDP and funded by the Municipality and Goodwill Ambassadors Chedid and Farha.
