The new US Embassy in Lebanon will remain in Awkar and will be built over an area of 174,000 square meters at a cost of around $1 billion. They practically bought the whole mountain on top of the existing embassy and construction should be done by 2023. The embassy was designed by Morphosis Architects and Alabama-based B.L. If you haven't experienced Lebanon by bike you're definitely missing out. Even though there aren't that many pre-set bike trails, there are plenty of awesome locations where you can bike and enjoy the sceneries. Few years back, we used to go on a trail all the way from Hrajil to Afqa and it was a beautiful one, biking between Amchit and Batroun is also quite enjoyable.
