Zgharta MP Michel Moawad tweeted this morning that the Iranian ambassador has refused to get summoned by Lebanon's Foreign Minister, following comments made by the Iranian state-tv against Patriarch Rai. A monument was unveiled by Beirut's governor Marwan Abboud on International Women's Day, as a tribute to the first female firefighter martyr Sahar Fares. Sahar, a 27 year old bride-to-be, was killed by the Beirut Port explosion. She worked as a firefighter medic and was among the first firefighters to arrive at the port. The first electric Lebanese car was launched in February in the cheesiest possible way, but we have yet to see a first drive. All they did in the launch was drive the car real slow and that's about it. The 2020 Corruption index has marked Lebanon as highly corrupt and ranked it 149th with a score of 25/100. Other countries with a similar ranking include Iran, Guatemala, Nigeria, Mozambique and Cameroon.
