It’s in the Bekaa Valley on the way to Baalbeck – just head north after Aley on the road to Damascus.

Oh Mr, NAJIB you did bring tears to my eyes with those nostalgic Train snaps from Rayak Lebanon..why??? because it took me back 53 years, and to our summer resort ALEY ! and exactly the rear side of Hotel TANIOS/CHAHINE ,where great Lebanese and Egyptian singers like SABAH…..FARID ATRACH sung and infamous belly dancer SAMIA GAMAL..danced in 1950 -1969 s in its CASINO like they did in Casino PICINE A;ley i was then 6/7 years old ,me and my late Mum stayed at her lady friend ^s villa .just above the TRAIN station in there, now i do realise how much it was romantic view then the steam,the smoke , and the noises it made,,especially in the nights…. also the loud hooter blow………UNFORGETTABLE ..TO THIS DAY! may they rest in peace at Rayak.
