It was quite pathetic but not surprising to see all Lebanese TVs hosting psychics and clairvoyants on NYE. I miss the old days where they actually did an effort to come up with a heart warming story or broadcast some quality stuff. Today was the opening of the "Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Emirati-Lebanese Hospital Centre for the Treatment of COVID-19 Patients" on the Beirut seafront today. Following the decision by the Central Bank to raise the exchange rate of the dollar meant to import fuel from LL23,500 to LL24,600, gasolines prices registered a significant rise today in Lebanon. The price of gasoline rose by LL23,000, that of gasoline by LL24,200 and the price of diesel rose by LL33,000.
