Alexandre Najjar, Lebanese writer and novelist, was awarded "Le Grand Prix de la Francophonie" by the Academie Francaise. Last week, pictures of so-called "Israeli & Turkish" products using Lebanese names were circulating online, prompting the economy ministry to issue a statement without really digging deeper into the matter. MTV reported today that one of Lebanon's most beloved magicians, Dr. Micky has died from the coronavirus. I remember we always looked forward to seeing him perform at birthdays as kids. Birthdays are very different nowadays, but Dr. Micky was still performing for kids at Kidzilla, CCCL and events. In fact, I found a recent video of his that I shared below. May he Rest In Peace.
